Does Oncotator support multicore processing?

Yes, Oncotator supports multicore processing, but only for the initialization of certain datasources (gene_tsv, gp_tsv, and transcript_tsv). If multicore functionality is activated (the default), Oncotator will initialize 4 separate processes for initializing datasources. Datasources without multicore support are initialized serially before the datasources that can be initialized in parallel.

For Broadies using Firehose:

Oncotator in Firehose does not use multicore processing. The --no-multicore flag is specified in the Oncotator_v1 module.
